Kerteh FC: Take Control - Buy the Club

The creation of the Kerteh FC Supporters' Cooperative Society is a multi-phase initiative aimed at giving Coop members more control over Kerteh FC by progressively increasing their involvement and equity in the club.

Phase One (2024):

In 2024, the Chairman of the Coop Society will attain Observer Status in the meetings of Kerteh FC's Board of Directors. Although observers do not have voting rights, they can contribute upon invitation. The Coop Society will also be granted commercial rights, including the design, manufacturing, and sale of the official club kit. They will gain exclusivity in sponsorship representation and the rights to other commercial assets.

 

Phase Two (2025):

By 2025, the Coop Society aims to acquire a minority stake in the club, which will grant the Chairman of the Coop voting rights, subject to fundraising and commercial success. Additionally, the Coop Society will lease further commercial assets, including managing Kerteh Sports City and the soccer school.

Phase Three (2026):

In 2026, the Coop Society plans to deepen its leasing engagement with Kerteh FC, exploring the potential to acquire key commercial properties. They will also focus on developing new properties that will benefit the club.

 

Phase Four (2027):

Looking ahead to 2027, the Coop Society intends to acquire majority equity (over 51%) in Kerteh FC, making the Coop Chairman the club’s Chairman. This acquisition will give members of the Coop greater decision-making power, including involvement in technical decisions like the selection of the head coach and players.
